The Dragons Den

Inside a regular family home, deep in their art studio lives an array of clay come to life in the form of small green dragons. Although they appear as statues, when the family’s back is turned, they move around and cause trouble in the home. This was the story I set out to tell through these illustrations to further develop my storytelling and environmental drawing skills.

Inspired by my favourite childhood book "The Fire Within" by Chris d'Lacey this project was full of nostalgia as I reread the story to research the scenes I was aiming to bring to life. It was amazing to take the images I had in my head so many years ago and draw them out, capturing the magic of when I first read the book and met the characters.
